This augmented reality application serves as a supplementary tool to the book “3D Cardiology in Small Animals,” published by Editorial Servet.

Upon launching the app on a mobile device, users can simply scan the QR codes integrated into the book to access and interact with various dynamic 3D visualizations of the heart and its associated pathologies. This interactive feature allows veterinary professionals to observe each disease in three dimensions, enhancing their comprehension of the underlying physiopathology and informing clinical decision-making.

It provides the ability to virtually observe an intact heart model floating within the book’s pages, as well as detailed visualizations of the anatomical and functional changes observed in conditions such as congestive heart failure. Additionally, users can explore common acquired and congenital cardiac diseases in dogs and cats, and correlate these three-dimensional augmented-reality images with echocardiographic findings, which remain the primary imaging modality for real-time cardiac assessment in everyday veterinary practice.
